Nature Art Journaling Workshop for Adults/Teens

Nature Art Journaling Workshop for Adults/Teens In-Person

Meet at Sandy Beach Shelter #2

Get outside and make some art!  This hands-on workshop will be led by professional artist and Arts educator, Ted Hansen.  He will be exhibiting several of his own art journals and guiding participants in creating their own art. Ted joins us as part of Alaska's Voices of the Wilderness Artist Residency Program.  In the week prior to the workshop, he will be joining USFS staff in the backcountry of Tebenkof Wilderness where he will be creating an art journal to share. You'll get the first public viewing! He will discuss his approach and philosophy around nature journaling, then guide you in starting or advancing your own journaling practice.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own supplies that they are comfortable with, however art supplies will be provided for anyone who needs them. If you do not have access to supplies please contact Chris - cweiss @petersburgak.gov
