FREE FOR ALL:The Public Library PBS Documentary Screening In-Person
Come help us celebrate National Library Week!
Petersburg Public Library has partnered with Alaska Public Media to bring you an exclusive showing of FREE FOR ALL:The Public Library. This film runs about an hour long and tells the story of the quiet revolutionaries who made a simple idea happen-from the pioneering women behind the Free Library Movement to today's librarians who continue to serve communities in a time of closures and book bans.
This event is hosted by Friends of Petersburg Libraries and will include live music and refreshments, along with time for thought provoking activities and conversation.
Special activities will be available for children ages 3-8 in the Children's Room during the event.
This event is free and open to the public
